The advantage to starting early is that less people are out at that hour. I love the way the lights reflect on the lake and cast shadows on the walkways, but they turned the majority of them off at 7:00 a.m. Near the 1.75 point on the 2-mile plan, it went through my mind that my walking could be a dream. I could be dreaming the entire experience, and if I am, will the benefits still manifest because I believe I am walking? Too esoteric, I think I'll just stick to real walking in the waking world.Even though there were only a few walkers today, I greeted some regulars. Shirley was back from her visit to her mothers. Lois assured me that my laughing when the gentleman walker said he had to leave his partner at home because she was holding him back was appropriate because he was joking. A new acquaintance was made of a small party colored Manchester terrier named "Mocha." The park has acquired six pairs of wood ducks and added them to the lake. The fellow that runs in sweats and always has a smiling countenance exchanged names with me today, his name is Ken.
In the car at 6:28, at the lake by 6:33, home taking off my sneaks at 7:15, makes my two-mile ambulation a good use of about an hour of my time six days a week. Today is Monday, the start of the traditional workweek. Everyday in every way I am getting better and better. This is an outrageously wonderful and abundant day. Walking adds dynamism to my day.
