Discovering The Day

The lake was quiet this morning as I arrived. A few steps onto the walking bridge and the lights shut off. A time control turns them off promptly at 7:00 am. The city is conserving energy and expenses. If I want to see the twinkling glow of lights as the dawn rolls upon the lake, I will have to start walking earlier. Either way the lake in the morning hours is lovely.

Today was unpopulated on the boardwalk; fourteen of my fellows greeted me as we passed. There was a small tent city huddled in the parking area near the commercial and residential structures that boarder the lake on the uptown side. There is likely an event continuing from yesterday that will populate the boardwalk as the day warms.

My new behaviors are proving to be welcome additions to my life. The walking is showing benefits in my physical form, my muscles are firming and the adjacent skin is less slack. My blogging skills are improving with greater writing, photo editing, and web master awareness. My energy levels have increased in all areas, enjoyment of everything is greater, and I feel more connected to life. What an amazing discovery.
