Cooler Air And Still On Course

Walking seven days a week would be the maximum possible plan. The reality is that one day a week there is an early morning meeting that conflicts with my walking schedule. Thursdays, the meeting commitment wins and the walking looses. That adds balance to my overall distribution of early morning attention, six days of walking and one day for meetings.

Today is the day to resume walking after my day off for the meeting. There was a bit of confusion getting out the door on time, arriving at the park at four minutes after the hour rather than on time or a little early. The temperature today has cooled dramatically, sixty-six degrees outside. Wearing warmer pants and a thermal long sleeved shirt worked great. Somehow, the cooler air put a quicker pace to my step. The weights stayed in the car.

The connections with the other walkers were high, fourteen walkers smiled, eye contact, verbal greeting, and a couple of interactive comments. The park workers are beginning to greet and comment as well. Two walkers kept eyes frozen ahead and made no acknowledgment of our healthy activity commonality. No problem, tomorrow's another day.
